International Staff Week Spain - October 2026

It is our pleasure to invite you to our sixth Staff Week between 28th September and 2nd October 2026 in Ferrol (A Coruña, Spain):

We would be happy to welcome both professors with academic backgrounds related to Smart Industry and Advanced Manufacturing as well as administrative staff dealing with international cooperation, exchange programmes and European projects.

The aim of this Staff Week is to identify opportunities for collaboration on the grounds of Smart Industry and Advanced Manufacturing with Ferrol Industrial Campus, while discovering the amazing nature around the city of Ferrol, starting point of the English Camino de Santiago.

Please find attached the preliminary programme that includes not only visits to labs and meetings with CIF staff, but also cultural activities like a Spanish language Crash Course, a walking tour, a visit to a museum, an intercultural picnic and many other activitites. The language of this Staff Week is English.

IPBeja Erasmus Week 26-30 October 2026

The Polytechnic University of Beja is very pleased to invite Administrative and Teaching Staff from partner institutions to participate in the IPBeja Erasmus Week taking place in Beja from 26 to 30  October 2026.

The IPBeja Erasmus Week is a lively multicultural forum dedicated to the exchange of good practices. Colleagues from partner institutions are invited to carry out Erasmus missions, for training or teaching,  and to visit our Campus.

The programme                

  • The programme focuses on both training and teaching activities. 
  • Administrative staff applicants indicate which IPBeja service/area they would like to visit, attend training activities and contact with local colleagues. The possibilities are: 1) Financial and Human Resources Services; 2) Student Services; 3) Library; 4) ICT Support Services; 5) Image and Communication Services; 6) Exchange and International Cooperation;
  • Academic staff indicate, from the available list in the application form, the educational area with which they would like to connect and carry out their teaching or training mission;
  • Participation includes the free attendance of all the activities mentioned in the programme, including the social programme;
  • Participants are expected to cover their travel, accommodation, and personal expenses; 
  • For the organization of this Erasmus Week, a minimum number of 8 participants is required;
  •  Accepted applicants will receive an acceptance letter. Priority will be given to staff coming from partner institutions; 
  • Applicants are advised to NOT assuming any booking or financial duties before receiving the acceptance letter.

International Week 2026 at Universidad Europea de Valencia

We are delighted to announce the first International Week at Universidad Europea de Valencia, which will take place from 16 to 20 November 2026.

This event will bring together colleagues from our partner institutions to strengthen international collaboration, exchange good practices, and create new opportunities for students and staff.

We are pleased to invite:

  • International Office representatives to participate on 16 and 17 November.
  • Faculty members to join us between 16 and 20 November and deliver guest lectures to our students in their areas of expertise.

As part of the programme, we will also organise a Study Abroad Fair, where partner universities will have the opportunity to present their institutions and promote international mobility opportunities directly to our students.

New Programme Highlights 2027

The Language Teaching Institute (SLI) at the Faculty of Philology, University of Freiburg, is pleased to present its course programme for 2027. The courses are designed for university, school, and higher education staff worldwide and offer a valuable opportunity for linguistic and professional development as well as international exchange.

This year’s theme is Human Minds in an AI World: Curiosity and Critical Thinking in the Digital Age.  

As artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly powerful part of education, business, and everyday life, the ability to think critically and stay curious has never been more important. 

Our 2026 International Week explores the role of human intelligence in a digital world — encouraging us to question, reflect, and engage beyond easy answers and automated solutions. In an age shaped by algorithms, how do we preserve creativity, independent thinking, and meaningful human connection?  

Our keynote speaker, Pinja Valkonen, AI Interpreter and Change Management Expert, will introduce the week’s theme in her inspiring keynote, Can human thinking be automated? Wisdom in the age of easy answers.  

Programme 
The detailed programme will be announced later. In addition to lectures and workshops, we will organise interactive and social activities that strengthen group cohesion, deepen cultural understanding, and provide engaging experiences for students and guests. Please note that Monday is reserved for arriving to Kouvola and we will have a welcome dinner in the evening.

3rd Erasmus Staff Week at Bursa Uludağ University

We are honored to invite you to the Staff Week Event, which will be hosted for the third time by Bursa Uludağ University at the main campus in Bursa, the capital of history and culture, from October 12-15, 2026. The University, located in Bursa, comprises 15 Faculties, 2 Vocational Schools, 15 Vocational High Schools, 1 Conservatory, 4 Institutes, 27 Application and Research Centers, and 1 Research Center.

Applications for the event, which will be accepted from June 15 to August 28, 2026, will be limited to 20 participants to facilitate the sharing of experiences and ensure more effective communication with academic and administrative staff. Special attention will be given to international diversity to ensure the event is productive for all participants, and applications will be evaluated with this criterion as a priority. We aim to conduct the event with a limited number of participants from each university to promote collaboration with partner universities through the resulting diversity.

The purpose of this event is to get to know you, our valuable participant universities, and colleagues closely, and to enable our university students to make more informed choices regarding their learning mobility by meeting you. In addition to presentations and fair activities, the event will include faculty and department visits, social events and tour of the city and will conclude with training and teaching sessions.

Staff Week FLE 2026

We are pleased to inform you that CLARIFE (Center for Languages and Intercultural Relations of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities) is organizing an international Staff Week dedicated to French as a Foreign Language (FLE), which will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the Catholic University of Lille.

This week is intended for teaching and administrative staff and offers two distinct programs:
• Administrative Mobility (up to 36 participants): FLE courses adapted to three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced), complemented by intercultural communication sessions and cultural activities.
• Teaching Mobility (up to 6 participants): a week of collaborative development of FLE teaching tools, including teaching sessions and two thematic conferences open to all.

Both mobility programs include:
