International Staff Week at the University of Trieste, Italy - August 2025

In light of our ongoing cooperation, we are delighted to offer you priority registration for our upcoming Staff Week with the title “Key Pillars of Internationalisation: Building a Global Framework”, which will take place between August 25th-29th, 2025.

Relevant information:

  • Participation fee: €250
  • Dates: August 25th-29th, 2025 (Monday-Friday)
  • Location: University of Trieste, Italy
  • Target group: university staff (teaching and non-teaching) dealing with or interested in the topics covered

The fee includes all activities indicated in the attachment. Please, note that the provisional programme might undergo ome changes due to the speakers’ availability or to organizational reasons.

Travel and accommodation expenses are not included, but eligible for Erasmus+ funding for staff mobility from the sending institution.

We are happy to share with you the possibility of booking through us a double studio apartment (single room €60, shared room €30) per night in the beautiful setting of the Joivy campus (in via Fabio Severo 40), which will also be the venue for most of the Staff Week.

Applications will be open until May 1st, 2025.

You have until March 15th, 2025, to benefit from priority registration.

TH Mittelhessen - International Staff Days 12-15 May 2025

Our International Staff Days taking place at our institution from 12-15 May 2025.

This annual event will provide various opportunities for networking and sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues from THM and other partner institutions. All attendees will be invited to make a presentation about their home institutions during the event. Also, an International Fair will again take place on site on 13 May, and offers participants the opportunity to introduce their university personally to our students and staff.

Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo – INTEC - International Staff Week

The Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo – INTEC invites you to our International Staff Week schedule on June 23 - 27, 2025 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

We will be happy to host academic and administrative staff members from several areas of your institution who will be interested in participate. We advised participants to contact their Mobility/Internationalization/Exchange department in order to know process of getting the Erasmus+ grant (KA131 AND KA717) or Compostela grants, provided by their home institution. In case that we do not have Erasmus+ agreement between our institutions, you are still welcome in this event.

The International Staff Week is based on and seeks to achieve the following opportunities:

  • Knowledge about the Higher Education Dominican Republic;
  • Role and results of the HE alignment of the Erasmus+ Priorities;
  • Knowledge about Dominican Republic history and culture;
  • Exchange of best practices for participants and share experiences of cooperation;

Universitat de Girona (UdG)'s 1st International Staff Week

Universitat de Girona (UdG) will host its 1st International Staff Week, taking place from June 2nd to June 6th, 2025, in the beautiful city of Girona, Catalonia.

The Staff Week will be conducted fully in English and is aimed at International Officers or staff members involved in international affairs.

Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses, ideally through Erasmus+ STT funds available at their home institutions. A Joint Staff training initiative

The INVEST European University Alliance, which we joined in 2023, launched a new type of Fellow program between the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France), the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) and the University of Karelia (Finland) as a platform for engagement and professional competence.  

Being part of a European universities alliance can seem obscure or a distant concept for many staff members, especially for universities joining an existing alliance. Therefore, we created this staff training with the objective to gather staff from different working fields and to exchange about what it means in their everyday work to be part of an alliance, what should or could be changed to better contribute to the goals of the alliance but also what is or could be their role in creating a new alliance community. In addition, this edition will also focus on International Student Support and targeted at administrative staff from admission, faculty services, and mobility services.

New SLI Staff Week Programme 2025 of the University of Freiburg (Germany)

The Language Teaching Institute (SLI) of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Freiburg will regularly offer the SLI Staff Week as part of ERASMUS+ from March 2025. This program is aimed at university members from all over Europe and offers a variety of opportunities for professional development and international exchange.

The SLI Staff Week includes the following program focuses:

  • German language courses (20 lessons per week) at levels A1 to B1, ideal for those who want to improve their language skills in interactive groups while learning about German culture.
  • Workshops on innovative teaching and leadership techniques (20 teaching units per week, in English), which teach practical methods for everyday university life and sustainably strengthen teaching and leadership skills.
  • Seminars on sustainability at universities (20 teaching units per week, in English), in which strategies for promoting sustainable university development are presented.

The courses take place in a relaxed atmosphere in the historic center of Freiburg. The campus in the historic city center and the attractive location of Freiburg also offer participants the opportunity to explore the border triangle - from the Black Forest to Basel, Zurich, Strasbourg, Paris or Milan.
