Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is happy to welcome students from all over the world through its student exchange and study abroad programs.

For applications to be valid in both programs, students need to be nominated by their home institution and students have to submit their online registration. Nominations by sending institutions are accepted for a full academic year (fall and spring semester) but students’ online applications and online course registration can be submitted always only for the upcoming one semester.
 

The student exchange program is based on a valid bilateral Student Exchange Agreement, enabling participants to study at the host institution without having to pay a tuition fee. BME can generally accept one or two students per academic year from each partner institution, however, the exact number of participants is specified in each agreement.

In our one semester long Semester Abroad program, students can choose courses from all faculties of BME, as we offer a wide range of courses in English language. Students can collect ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credit points for successfully accomplished courses.
