BME participated in the I. Hungarian-Maroccan University Forum on 26. November 2019, which was held with intensive professional discussions between the partners.
The conference was organized by the Hungarian Rectors' Conference at the Andrássy University Budapest and almost one hundred participants attended it. A delegation of more than ten people represented the Moroccan higher education on minister's and rector's level. On behalf of Hungary, the Rector of the Andrássy University Budapest and Dr. József Bódis, Minister of State responsible for Higher Education, Innovation and Vocational Education, greeted the participants which was followed by the keynote speech of S. E. M. Driss Ouaouicha, Moroccan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Several presentations held by other participants connected to the topic of current changes, the vision of higher education and related measures. Among others Dr. János Józsa, President of HRC and Rector of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics mentioned additional themes related to the internationalization of the Hungarian higher education.
During the event parallel discussions provided platform to establish collaboration between Moroccan and Hungarian universities directly and to clarify questions arose in Moroccan and Hungarian student participants.
