Kyungpook National University (KNU) 2022 Visiting Scholar Program

The Office of International Affairs at KNU invites international faculty to submit course proposals for a 3 week Summer Session.

 

Teaching Commitment:

Each visiting scholar will be required to teach 1 three-credit course (45 hours of class contact) over a period of 3 weeks, which is scheduled as 3-hour classes, 5 times a week (Mon-Fri) via remote instruction. There will be no travelling to Korea.

 

Summer Session Dates:  June 23 ~ July 13, 2022

 

Class Information

We would like to encourage the use of interactive teaching methods to KNU students. Given the short duration, we prefer that students are given handouts, instead of being required to purchase a text book.

 

KNU Learning Management System (LMS) allows you to teach online, set assignments, give quizzes and check attendance.

 

Format: Remote instruction, Synchronous lectures will be expected

 

Financial Arrangements:

KNU will provide a stipend of USD $2,500 – (paid at the end of the course)

 

Application Procedure:

Please apply online(http://en.knu.ac.kr/admission/visiting02.htmby March 4, 2022. The selection process will be finalized in mid April and applicants will be informed by email. KNU will try our best to make sure many students enroll in the classes, however, a course may be cancelled if there is insufficient student registration.
